Description
Position Summary:
The Project Engineer II develops designs and processes for the production of high quality composite products: creating and improving efficiency for equipment, tooling, and manufacturing processes to efficiently fabricate composite parts and assemblies that meet customer quality standards and delivery deadlines.  This position leads and simultaneously manages multiple projects, coordinating with other engineers, departments, production personnel, management and customers.

Schedule: M-F 8-5
Location: Gunnison, UT
Pay Range: $75,000-85,000 DOE

Qualifications:
Bachelors' degree in Engineering or equivalent plus at least (5) years of manufacturing experience

Responsibilities:

Processes:
•    Understand and develop manufacturing processes, tooling, and designs that comply with customer quality and process specifications
•    Write detailed work instructions that provide clear direction for use in manufacturing the product
•    Provide hands-on manufacturing support throughout the fabrication of composite structures
•    Lead the transition of products/processes through development to production to refinement
•    Assess customer specifications and drawings to determine manufacturability

Technical Support:
•    Provide technical support for fabrication techniques related to processes and materials
•    Become a product expert according to customer specification
•    Ensure configuration control is maintained throughout the program life

Management Support:
•    Interact regularly with production personnel to provide support and training
•    Estimate costs of new programs or capital equipment as required
•    Supervise other engineers while meeting project due dates and budgets
•    Take a lead role for engineering projects, assisting in schedules and due dates
•    Assist with customer conference calls and program reviews with status updates on schedules, processes, and tooling

Computer Skills:
•    ERP (Infor)
•    CATIA V5
•    Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)

Quality
•    Work with engineering and QA personnel on corrective action and root cause analyses
•    Understand complex engineering drawings with GD&T
•    Comply with ISO9001 or AS9100 guidelines
•    Analytically interpret customer and industry specifications
•    Effectively communicate, clearly explaining technical issues
•    Cooperatively work in a team environment

Other Requirements:   Because employees in this position must handle information covered by the International Trade and Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR), successful applicants will be required to verify their identity and their status as a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. lawful permanent resident, or person granted refugee or asylum status in the U.S.
