Shift: Day

Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm (additional hours as needed)

Rate: Salary Based Upon Experience

  • Responsible for managing company contract programs and projects. This includes directing program tasks including but not limited to product design, tooling fabrication or procurement, production planning, production, quality assurance and product support. Must read and be able to interpret contracts for assigned programs.
  • Undertakes strategy creation for contingency planning and risk mitigation.
  • Responsible for planning and scheduling project goals, milestones and deliverables.
  • Defines requirements and plans the program / project life.
  • Defines and obtains all resources necessary for project and program execution.
  • Identifies and solves project issues effectively.
  • Oversees and directs the project engineering team and manages conflicts within the different groups.
  • Helps to develop company bids, quotes and proposals, in response to customer requests or instructions from the Director of Programs or Director of Business Development.
  • Performs program team assessments and evaluations.
  • Provides Program Management Review (PMR) briefings on assigned programs.
  • Exhibits leadership qualities in defining and communicating requirements for programs, and in mitigating project risks.
  • Maintains project and technical documentation required for order or contract (may be deliverable to customer).
  • Maintain and coordinate ongoing communication with external customers.
  • Obtain change order fees and updated part and project pricing when scope or cost structure changes.


Knowledge, Skills & Requirements:

  • Associates or bachelor’s degree in related field preferred, but not required.
  • Prior program / project management experience preferred, but not required.
  • Basic understanding of financial management systems and program management metrics including Work in Process (WIP), Estimates to Complete (ETC) and Estimates at Completion (EAC)
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Planning, organizing and decision-making
  • Communication skills; influencing, leading, delegating
  • Able to work well in a team environment
  • Basic negotiation skills
  • Basic use of Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Power Point
  • Basic understanding of MS Project
  • Able to manage Programs up to $1.0M+ annual value
  • May require travel to customers, but must be with Director of Programs


Success Factors:

  • Achieve > 90% On time delivery of all products and all other obligations (reports, schedules, proposals, etc. to all customers.
  • Achieve a Customer Satisfaction rating of at least eight out of possible ten for all assigned customers, and with no formal customer complaints
  • No documented quality escapes.
