Description

INVENTORY CONTROL CLERK

The Inventory Control Clerk's main responsibilities is maintaining the physical inventory and performing supporting inventory transactions related to production.
 

SCHEDULE: Full-time Monday - Friday 8:00AM - 5:00PM (Occasional weekends and others shifts required)

WAGE: $12.50/hr

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Receive, pick, lift, organize, and store standard hardware, purchased parts, machined components and assemblies to support inventory control for ACT Aerospace
  • Organize and maintain a clean and structured inventory area in a clean workshop area (5S)
  • Accurately complete and maintain paperwork systems and follow inventory procedures
  • Perform picking function to create necessary kits of parts, material, and hardware as required, assuring that all parts are accounted for and available in kits for assembly technicians
  • Issue material to job travelers
  • Maintain strict material handling practices in accordance with good practice/procedures
  • Monitor shelf-life storage and maintain proper rotation of stock
  • Perform weekly cycle counts
  • Utilize ERP system
  • Fulfill shipping and goods receiving functions
  • Operates a hand truck or forklift
  • Other responsibilities and duties as assigned

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or GED

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • ERP system experience
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Experience and understanding of inventory and kitting processes
  • Capability to operate a forklift and other related inventory equipment

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
  • Lifting, standing, bending, and carrying are generally required to perform the functions of this position
